S/Y Lorrigray

Lorrigray II is a Dudley DIX design 65 foot cutter rigged sloop, she was custom designed for Lorraine and Graham to sail the world and launched in Durban South Africa 1998. Lorrigray was constructed to a very high standard and has twin turbo diesel engines a 10 kva genset, hydraulic winch package.
The interior is solid American white Oak.
A separate saloon and dinette area, 4 double cabins and a galley that would be the envy of most flat dwellers.
The mast is a towering 100 feet above the water, her large sail area and twin engines mean that you don’t have to worry about getting to your destination , her 45 ton displacement can smooth out all but the worst of the Atlantic swells making fast and comfortable passages between the islands.

The Crew:
Graham and Lorraine Parkinson were both born in 1950 in the North of England, Graham an electronics engineer and Lorraine a comptometer operator (you will have to ask her personally to explain what that’s all about).
They moved to South Africa in 1976 and built up a thriving Broadcast supply business. Retired 1998 they have been sailing on Lorrigray II ever since, traveling the world they now have many exciting stories from Pirates to Mayday rescues.. With over 50,000 miles under their keel they are not short on sailing experience.
Lorraine loves the traveling nomadic lifestyle and enjoys beach barbeques, karaoke evenings are her specialty, Lorraine is also a fully qualified skipper in her own right.
Graham enjoys the freedom and self sufficient life style meeting people and talking about boats and traveling , with the wealth of experience in the travel area it can make for some interesting after dinner conversations, he also plays the guitar can sometimes be persuaded into a sing along at beach party.
